Is there a cost to participate in the program?

No, there are no costs to you if you are selected to participate in the accelerator program. We don’t take equity either.

What types of startups are you looking for specifically?

  • Your startup/idea is leveraging AR and/or VR tech

  • It has applications within the entertainment industry, such as, but not limited to - film, media, theme parks, travel, tourism.

What is the time commitment?

Participating in the accelerator is a full-time commitment over the 3 months.

I have a large team, do we all need to relocate for the program?

No, however, we do expect at least the co-founders to participate in the program full-time. We provide 3 full-time desks as part of the program and additional desks are $500/mo.

Am I guaranteed to receive investment?

No, however, our program is designed to significantly increase your chances of being able to. Depending on the growth you’re able to achieve throughout the program, we’ll be able to facilitate introductions to investors and corporate partners who may be interested in investing.

Does participating in the program guarantee further investment or usage of my product by any of the corporate sponsors?

No, it is entirely at Village Roadshow’s and Microsoft’s decision if they choose to invest in your startup or engage with you in a pilot program during or after the program. Think of your time at the program as an opportunity to build relationships and to demonstrate what you can do.

What does the application process entail?

Once you’ve read through our terms and conditions, go ahead and submit an application through our F6S page. Be as thorough as possible.

Following a review of all applications, a shortlist of applicants will be invited to attend a bootcamp session with us at Collective Campus over a few days, culminating in a pitch in front of stakeholders at Village, Microsoft and Collective Campus.

Final letters of offer to participate in the accelerator will be provided to the successful applicants shortly thereafter.

WHO ARE YOU GUYS?

Collective Campus is a corporate innovation hub with offices in Melbourne and Singapore. We run education workshops in emerging skillsets, are a coworking space for startups, and work with corporates on their innovation strategy. Last year we ran APAC’s first dedicated legal services accelerator program with Mills Oakley.

Since opening in 2014 as a tech coworking space, we’ve had over 100 startups call us home in our Melbourne office including UBER, Zomato, Law Advisor, Booktopia.

WHEN WILL I GET AN ANSWER ON MY APPLICATION?

We receive hundreds of applications and review each one individually. We will respond to everyone with a yes or no, but it may take a few weeks after applications close.

Where is the program located?

The program is being hosted at Collective Campus, located at Level 1, 20 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.
